At ṚUUT, we believe that a fragrance is not merely a label—it is a story. Our name was born from a convergence of two powerful ideas: the English word Root (the origin, foundation, and anchor connected to the earth) and the Sanskrit word Rutu (the season, rhythm of time, and character of a moment). Shortened to its essence, Rutu became Ruut—phonetically identical to Root.
Our logo is a visual manifesto of this duality: an abstract, deconstructed letter ‘R’ contained within a rectangular sanctuary frame. The bottom stroke rises firmly as the grounding Root, while the upper curve hovers suspended in negative space as the changing Rutu. They do not touch—separated by a channel of air where the identity of ṚUUT comes alive in the flow of your space.

The origin, foundation, and anchor. In perfumery, base notes like Himalayan cedarwood, vetiver, sandalwood, and frankincense provide the unchanging core of peace and stability that lingers after the initial impression fades.
The Rutu
From the Sanskrit word for 'season'. Represents top and heart notes—fresh orange zest, monsoon petrichor, and night-blooming jasmine—capturing the fleeting, vibrant, and evolving melody of a specific moment.
The Convergence
The sacred intersection where the timeless Root meets the timely Rutu. We fuse grounding base notes with expressive seasonal notes in sustainable glass vessels. A Root for your soul, and a Rutu for your moment.
